Small Jet Skids Off Runway 35 at Norwood Memorial Airport Before Picking Up Patriots Quarterback

A small jet scheduled to carry superstar Patriots quarterback Tom Brady to a Las Vegas speaking engagement went off the runway at Norwood Airport yesterday. Only the pilot and co-pilot were on board the twin-engine Dassault Falcon 10 jet when it skidded off runway 35 at 11:45 a.m., Jim Peters, spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration said.
The plane became stuck in the mud about 400 feet past the 4,000-foot runway. The pilot and co-pilot were taken to a hospital for observation, Peters said. The jet, which is registered to Ginju LLC of Arlington, Va., was to be taken out of the mud today and examined for damage. Significant damage to the aircraft will warrant an NTSB investigation.
