NORWOOD MAN TRANSFERRED TO WASHINGTON
Active Civic Leader Advances After Six Years in Boston Subtreasury

P.C. Costello, a lifelong resident of Norwood and clerk in the Boston Subtreasury for the past six years, has been promoted and transferred to Washington, D.C.
He will depart Wednesday and expects to assume his new duties on Friday.
Mr. Costello, educated in the Norwood public schools and Norwood High School, has long been active in the civic and social life of the town. He is now serving his second year as Grand Knight of Norwood Council, Knights of Columbus, under whose leadership the council has grown steadily in membership and hosted many successful social events.
He also serves as Treasurer of Norwood Lodge of Elks, a position he has held for several years, and was formerly Manager of the local baseball team. Mr. Costello is unmarried and widely regarded for his dedication to community service and leadership.
