Steve Rudolph, a magician and illusionist from Norwood , brought his magic show to the United Church in Norwood on July 10.
The show was part of the church’s summer program for children.
Rudolph has been performing magic shows for over 24 years, and he has developed a unique style that involves storytelling and audience participation. He believes that the most important thing about magic is the reaction of the audience, and he strives to create a sense of wonder and amazement in those who watch him perform.
“I like the response I get from the kids,” Rudolph said. “It’s great to see them laugh and have joy on their faces.”
Rudolph has performed at various venues, including libraries, churches, and festivals. He has also developed a summer reading program for children called “Gnome’s Green Magic Show.” The program aims to encourage children to read during the summer months.
In addition to his magic shows, Rudolph is also a professional pianist and composer. He has written over 60 sermons that are available online for those who are involved in ministry.
Rudolph’s passion for music and magic is evident in his work. He believes that both art forms have the power to bring people together and create a sense of community.
“I think it’s great to be able to use my talents to make a difference in people’s lives,” Rudolph said.
Rudolph’s wife, Cythilia, is also an artist who has illustrated many of his magic shows. The couple met 32 years ago when they were both part of the Christian Hill community in Norwood.
