An exciting chase after the stolen automobile of Frank H Carbee, 80 Park at, Lynn, tonight resulted In the arrest of Max Rosenberg, 14 Garden st, Roxbury, and Walter Barrett, 10 Intervale st, Roxbury.

The Dedham police notified the Norwood police to be on the watch for the car which was wanted by the Boston police, Chief of Police Swift stood watch at Washington st and Railroad av. patrolman William Barrett stood farther down Washington st and Police Sergt Readel stood at Nahatan st on Washington st. Finally the car, numbered 149.412 was sighted by Chief Swift, who shouted to patrolman Barrett as the car whizzed past. Barrett shouted to the car to stop but it continued down the street. Sergt Readel fired several shots at the six occupants of the car.

Meanwhile Cyrus Church, who had been asked by the police to be in readiness with his automobile at Railroad ave and Washington st, picked up patrolman Barrett and gave chase to the stolen car. Chief Swift rushed to the police station for the police car, and then a furious chase began.

Automobiles on Washington st scattered In all directions as three cars sped down the street. At Walpole st Church’s car caught up to the other car and crowded it near the sidewalk. Four men jumped out and ran through Dr Edward F. Brennan’s yard. Rosenberg and Barrett w’ere left In the back seat and were arrested at once/

The automobile will be turned over at once to the Boston police.
