Despite facing an early deficit, the first-place Zone 6 leaders demonstrated the resilience that has defined their winning streak, proving once again that their opponents require more than just a two-run lead to secure a win. Not to be outdone, Decareau followed with a solo home run of his own, extending the Norwood lead to a commanding 7-2.

Although Dedham mounted a spirited four-run comeback in the final two innings, they ultimately fell short. Dedham Coach Jim Fitzgerald praised his team’s tenacity, stating, “I was proud of the way they fought back,” despite the disappointing result. B. Baxter was credited with the win for Norwood, while Soba took the loss. The game’s box score reflected an explosive offensive display, featuring doubles by Doherty, DiVirgilio, and Donato, alongside the key home runs from Delbou and Decareau. With this victory, Norwood further solidified its standing at the top of the league, moving one game closer to an undefeated streak.
