Academic excellence is taking center stage at Norwood High School as senior Edward J. Skricki has been officially named a Merit Scholarship semi-finalist, placing him among an elite tier of scholars nationwide.

In addition to Skricki’s milestone achievement, three fellow Norwood High seniors have earned Letters of Commendation in the National Merit Scholarship program: Judith E. Martowska, Susan C. O’Brien, and Joseph F. Petrie Jr.

Meet the Scholars

  • Edward J. Skricki (Semi-Finalist): The 17-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. John Skricki, Edward is a member of the National Honor Society and an active athlete on the cross-country and track teams. Scoring in the top half of 1 percent of the state’s high school senior class to secure semi-finalist status, he is eyeing admissions at Dartmouth College and Cornell University with plans to major in biology, mathematics, or physics.
