Guild Square Landmark Prepares for Transfer of Liquor and Dining Licenses to New Ownership
LaRosa brothers giving up Norwood restaurant
The LaRosa brothers are giving up The Village Inn after about 15 years of operating the restaurant and lounge in Guild Square. Last night, selectmen received an application for the transfer of the LaRosa Corp. liquor and dining licenses to prospective new owners Henry Y. Tawil of Brockton and John Fraser of New Seabury. A June 27 public hearing was set.
Frank LaRosa said yesterday that he and his brothers Peter, the president and manager, and Charles, and Feliciano are all between age 56 and 64 and ready to take it easier. Also, the commuting for the brothers, all of whom live in towns north of Boston, is tiring. Business could be better although, overall, during the past 15 years, “It’s been good,” Frank LaRosa remarked. The new owners plan to spend a considerable amount in renovations, LaRosa said.
