Junior and Senior High School Bands Head to NH Camp-August 28, 1967

Approximately 75 student musicians from the Norwood junior and senior high school bands departed Saturday morning for a week-long summer camp retreat at Camp Kehonka in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, to prepare for upcoming fall football performances. Co-sponsored by the Parent Music Association, the annual camp gives every band participant an intensive week of music rehearsal and recreation.

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Philip O. Coakley and Music Director Paul Alberta oversee the program, ensuring students balance rigorous marching, concert, and stage band practices with outdoor activities like swimming, boating, a Lake Winnipesaukee cruise, cookouts, and a talent night. Musical activities are directed by Paul Alberta alongside junior high band director William Tower.
