Two proposed residential subdivisions encountered no major opposition during planning board hearings on Monday, though attending residents raised questions regarding drainage plans for both developments. The planning board deferred its final approval decisions until the Conservation Commission issues its formal construction conditions.
The proposals include a 24-lot single-family home subdivision located off Nahatan Street on the Westwood line, developed by Dr. Roy Lydon and his wife, planning board member Anne T. Lydon, alongside a seven-lot single-family housing project off Nichols Street near Willett Pond, proposed by Michael J. Derenzo of Davis Avenue. Engineer Paul J. Mirabito of Norwood Engineering, representing the developers for both subdivisions, assured residents that the drainage systems were meticulously designed to prevent water accumulation both within the new developments and on neighboring properties.
In additional business, the planning board approved a 20-lot subdivision named Grandview Estates II off Union Street, conditioning final sign-off on Town Counsel Justin C. Barton approving legal agreements concerning administrative technicalities.
