Jennie’s Restaurant Is Well Known For Good Meals

Jennie’s Restaurant, 1064 Washington street, Norwood is a new establishment — it opened September 25 — but it’s owned and operated by a woman whose prowess as a cook is well-known to hundreds of folks who have eaten her special pizzas and other delicacies in restaurants in Norwood, Malden, Walpole, and Revere. Her name is Jennie Purpura and she cooks — to order — every bit of food that is served in her attractive, modern restaurant.
Incidentally, opening night was a gala affair at Jennie’s—hundreds of people were present, stuffed themselves on Jennie’s good food received favors and souvenirs, danced to an orchestra, really had a swell time, and Jennie received flowers and telegrams of congratulations from all over the countr\ from friends and former customers.
Jennie’s Restauant serves chicken. steaks, pork chops, all kinds ol Italian food. including ravioli, spaghetti, and meat sauce pizza: a big variety of delicious sandwiches, including a very tasty meal ball sandwich and a provolone sandwich. The latter is a delicious Italian cheese, beloved of gourmets. Food is also prepared to take out, too The only beverages – served are coffee. tea; milk and soft drinks.
