When this writer entered the shop of Johnson and Flood, Cabinet Makers, 228 Railroad Avenue, Norwood, this week, lie found the place a bee-hive of activity, with Johnson rubbing down an old spool bed and Flood busily engaged at the band saw.

In business only a few months, these two young craftsmen are already going great guns. They specialize in custom .cabinet making, restoring and refinishing antique furniture, and generally doing all types of skilled woodworking.

Their large shop on the second floor at 228 had various pieces of near-completed cabinets and antiques of all kinds standing around. And despite the shortage of lumber and other materials they’ve managed, to keep operating smoothly.

As an example of one of the kinds of work they do . . . suppose you decide to modernize your kitchen, install cabinets, etc.

Either Mr. Johnson or Mr. Flood will go to your home, take measurements and present you with an estimate of what the job will cost.

And if you want them to go ahead with the work, you can be sure that you’re getting the best in cabinet-making, as you’ll discover when the job is completed. Every phase of construction of finishing is skillfully and carefully done, with minute attention to all details.

If, on the other hand, you have a rare old antique in need of restoration or repair, Johnson and Flood can handle that, too, blending in the new with the old until the piece of furniture looks as it did when it was originally constructed.

They’re pretty busy right now with a number of projects, but if you have any more work to be done, call them anyway, and* they’ll gladly give you a free estimate. The telephone number is Norwood 1690.
