Lyman Smith’s Sons Co. have this week issued notices to the trade announcing a change in the name of the firm to “Winslow Bros. & Smith Co.” and that on July 1 the business of Winslow Bros will be consolidated with this company. This brings together these two long-established and prosperous tanning concerns which were originally together and branched off a half-century ago, now united again, breaking up the competition which existed between them, and making one of the largest, if not the largest sheepskin manufacturing concern in the country. The move ought to be a wise one for all concerned.
