. July -Despite inclement weather 15.000 persons witnessed a parade today sponsored by the Post, which has been conducting a four- of Independence Day.

The parade, with seven divisions in line, was the largest ever conducted in this town. of the was chief marshal and four other of the board were his aids.

After leading the parade, the selectmen dropped out at Park to review the procession with other town officials and county authorities. The program continued at the field with sports competitions and was climaxed with a fireworks display tonight.
