As Popularity Zooms Due to the fast growing popularity of the sport, stock car racing activity will be doubled at Norwood Arena this week as the track adds a regular Thursday night racing programs tonight to its Saturdav features.

The addition of races every Thursday will fill the requests of many fans and the racing drivers for a mid-week show General Manager Arthur J Forrest stated.

He pointed out that 12.890 racing enthusiasts thronged the Arena last Saturday and added that two race nights a week will better satisfy the needs of the growing sport. Bill Tibbert of Natick continues as the Norwood crowds favorite after winning the feature race last Saturday but he will face fast-mounting opposition from 34 other.
