A 1749 British half penny like the one found by Kenneth Small.

Kenneth Small, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence W. Small, found an English penny dated 1749 in the earth thrown out of a trench by laborers on Cottage St. near Washington, yesterday.

While the coin is considerably oxidized, the inscriptions are plain.
