The Civil Defense Communications group has been granted a radio station license by the Federal Communications Commission. The call letters are KIJMR.

This station Is maintained and operated by the Norwood Amateur Radio Club, a group of amateur radio operators who meet at the Town Hall every Monday night to participate in local and statewide communications drills. This license is part of a program to build a more efficient communications system, with federal aid if necessary, for Norwood and for Massachusetts.
