This Day in Norwood History-January 23, 1946-Aeroplane Construction Explained To Wing Scouts

CONSTRUCTION OF THE AEROPLANE is explained to these Wing Scouts by Mr. Thomas D. Wildon, head of the Junior Aviation League of Boston and designer of model planes, who addressed the girls at a recent meeting at the Civic. Pictured with the young aviation enthusiasts, most of whom are members of the Junior Wing Group, are Miss Frances Dethier, an Eagle Scout, Radcliffe graduate and Junior Wing Group leader, and Mrs. Emerson Thomas, pilot of the Senior Group. Included in the above group are Margie Williamson, Nancy Eklund, Betty Pierpont, Marjorie Hyland, Dorothy McComb, Mary Jane Brock, Jane Spalding, Diane Wiesul, Joan Bouchard, Gay Burke, Jane Hallet, Martha Learnard, Marilyn Saumsiegle, Marcia Rouillard and Joyce Towne Members are taking a course in complete ground work under the instruction of Mr. Jack Phillips, Chief Pilot for E.
