HOME AFTER TWO YEARS Chief Petty Officer Edward Conroy of Railroad avenue is home on a 39-day leave after two years overseas duty. He reports back to California next month for re-assignment.

RETURNS TO FLORIDA Third Class Petty Officer Halem Howard of 113 Washington street returned Wednesday to his station at Fort Lauderdale, Florida.


Sgt. George Elias, son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Elias of Washington street has sent word that he has arrived safely in the Netherlands East Indies.
