The Walpole team’s frustration grew as they struck out 14 times, with nine other batters walking. Their coach, Ralph White, expressed his disappointment at their performance, saying that they “have to get the ball in play to score runs.”

In contrast, the Norwood team was pleased with their victory, with Coach Frank Wall stating that the walks issued by Norwood’s pitchers had “killed us” in the game. Despite losing three of their pitchers to injuries, Walpole still managed to put up a good fight, scoring five runs in the sixth inning to pull within two.

The final score read 11-8 in favor of Norwood, but it was clear that the real story was not just about the numbers on the scoreboard. It was about the drama and tension that played out on the field, with both teams giving their all in a thrilling display of baseball.
