Daily Crowds Watch Construction of Route 1 Recreation Hub

Capturing the attention of daily onlookers along Route 1 near Dean Street in Norwood, construction on a massive new entertainment facility is rapidly nearing completion. Named Roll-Land, the modern structure has been custom-built entirely for roller skating, featuring a specialized smooth skating floor and musical accompaniment designed for skaters of all skill levels.

General Manager John Santoro announced that construction is on schedule, setting an official grand opening date of November 11. Whether patrons are expert skaters or novices who are “not quite so much at home on a pair of skates,” Roll-Land promises to deliver a premier recreational destination for the region.

Owen Sullivan Installs 10 Streamlined Bowling Alleys in Basement

Adding to the facility’s extensive entertainment offerings, local businessman Owen Sullivan—owner of the Talbot Alleys in Guild Square—is putting the finishing touches on 10 new streamlined bowling alleys located in the basement level of the Roll-Land structure. The combination of state-of-the-art bowling lanes and a spacious indoor skating rink establishes the Route 1 location as a major new hub for Norwood recreation.
