Eleven individuals—ten men and one woman—were arrested late last night by Norwood Police following two separate disturbances, one in a parking lot across from the Stop and Shop store on Railroad Avenue and another at the Ellis pumping station on Route 1.

All suspects were scheduled to appear in Dedham District Court today to face an array of charges.
First Incident: Railroad Avenue Parking Lot
The initial disturbance occurred at approximately 9:45 p.m. when Patrolman Leon Padduck responded to a report of individuals drinking in the parking lot near the Stop and Shop. According to police reports, when Patrolman Padduck arrived in his cruiser, a member of the group hurled an open can of beer at the vehicle while others shouted obscenities and refused police orders to disperse.

Around midnight, police received a call for assistance from the Millis Security Co. regarding a large group of youths drinking near the Ellis pumping station on Route 1. Arriving officers found a security employee locked in a confrontation with roughly 20 youths, while 30 others lingered nearby.
