Norwood Planning Board Favors Rezoning of Norwood Arena Site-July 17, 1973

On July 16, 1973, the Norwood Planning Board took significant action regarding the future of the Norwood Arena property, voting to provide a favorable recommendation to rezone the front 30 acres of the site from limited manufacturing to a business classification.

Zuker of Brookline, argued that the current racing operations at the arena were no longer financially viable. During the hearing, John J.
