In the first criminal prosecution in New England for allegedly promoting a pyramid club, eight persons will be arraigned on lottery charges in District Court here April 28.

Andrew J. Geishecker, clerk of Dedham District Court, today issued complaints against Mr. and Mrs. Aldred S. Levine of 159 Washington st., Norwood; Dr. and Mrs. Evelyn Stewart of 41 Howard st., Norwood; Mr. and Mrs. Carl B. Carlson of 153 Washington St. Norwood, and Mr. and Mrs. Frederick R. Nesell of High st. Westwood.

Police Chief Thomas C. Lydon of Norwood described the club as having a possible total payoff of between $75.000 and $100.000. He said there had been a total payoff of about $18,000.

Larceny complaints against the eight persons were refused last week in court.
