The Norwood Post 2452, Veterans of Foreign Wars have applied for a building permit to construct a new clubhouse on the site of their former headquarters which was burned to the ground last May,
No specific plans have been divulged by the VFW as yet, but the executive committee has been meeting regularly in an effort to house the organization since flames destroyed the once magnificent mansion, which formerly belonged to the Plimpton family.
A hearing has been scheduled by the Board of Selectmen at the Town Hall, on October 2, at 7 p m.
