The town is going to raze the small store block which stands on the land recently purchased by the town at 544-548 Washington Street next to the Municipal Building.
Building Inspector Henry J. Cronan has looked over the property and he has reported that rental of the property by the town would be inadvisable and that the buildings be removed. General Manager Francis W. Smith concurred with this report in a request to the Board of Selectmen that arrangements be made for the removal of the buildings. The Selectmen gave their approval at the regular meeting this week.
