— After eight successful years at 734 Washington Street, the Guild Pharmacy has officially moved next door to its newly renovated home at 732 Washington Street, where a gala opening last Wednesday marked the beginning of a new chapter for one of Norwood’s busiest drug stores.
Owned by Paul Cohen, the Guild Pharmacy now occupies a modern, expanded space designed to offer improved service, greater convenience, and a wider range of products for the community.
A Fully Staffed, Fully Equipped Modern Drug Store
The new Guild Pharmacy boasts a staff of 34 employees, including three registered pharmacists, ensuring prompt and professional service for all prescription needs.
The prescription department continues to offer free delivery, a popular service that has long distinguished the store.
A new addition to the facility is a private fitting room, allowing for expert fitting of:
- Braces
- Crutches
- Medical supports
This enhancement reflects the pharmacy’s growing role in providing specialized medical equipment to local residents.
A State‑of‑the‑Art Soda & Luncheon Fountain
One of the highlights of the new store is what is described as “the most modern soda and luncheon fountain in the area.” With sleek fixtures and expanded seating, the fountain is expected to become a favorite stop for shoppers, students, and families alike.
