MRS WILLARD EVERETT Of Norwood.

May 18, 1912— Mrs. Willard Everett. the oldest native-born resident of Norwood, celebrated her 90th birthday yesterday at her home, 143 Walpole st. Among her first callers were Rev Arthur Howe Pingree, pastor of the Congregational Church, and Mrs Pingree. When they were there, the “Little Women,” an organization of young girls of the church, came and sang to Mrs Everett.

In the afternoon Mrs Margaret Van Hovenburg Morrill called and sang “The Holy City,” greatly to Mrs. Everett’s pleasure, A young caller was Thais Harding, 10 months old. Mrs. Everett received a profusion of flowers.

Mrs. Everett was born in Norwood in 1822, when it was South Dedham, and is probably the oldest person in town. Her maiden name was Sarah Morse, and she was the daughter of David and Nancy Morse. Her husband has been dead for more than a half-century. She is best known by his name. Mrs. Willard Everett. She is connected with the oldest families in this section. Except for being blind, she is in full possession of her faculties. As she has been suffering from a cold she received her visitors in bed and was assisted in receiving by a neighbor, Mrs. Arthur Black. She has lived in her present home for more than 50 years and is a member of the Congregational Church.
