The Norwood Italian Social Club has officially moved into its newly renovated home at 1199 Washington Street, marking an important milestone for one of the town’s most active social organizations. President Patrick Long and his committee successfully completed the alterations in time to host the club’s regular monthly membership meeting this past week.
At the meeting, President Long praised the many members who volunteered their time and labor to prepare the new quarters for use, noting that their efforts allowed the clubrooms to be ready ahead of schedule. With interest in membership running high, prospective members are encouraged to contact their sponsors so arrangements can be made for the large incoming class now awaiting admission. Regular members are invited to enjoy the club’s new, spacious facilities at their convenience.
The club also finalized plans for its upcoming Buffet Dance, to be held at Workmen’s Hall on Saturday, June 3rd. As the final Spring Social of the season, members are urged to secure their tickets early from Recording Secretary Charles DiMarzo or any club officer. Because the number of tickets is limited, members needing additional tickets are advised to telephone the officers so reservations can be made.
The dance committee will meet tonight at the new club quarters, where additional tickets will also be available. All final ticket returns must be submitted on or before the regular meeting scheduled for Thursday, June 1st.
