THREE RAIDS IN NORWOOD.

NORWOOD, March 17 – Three raids were made by the police this evening. At the bowling alleys of Julius Balduf, Wilson st. men were found drinking beer, and Balduf was notified to appear in the district court in Dedham Monday on the charge of maintaining a liquor nuisance.
Chief of Police Rhoads and his assistants visited two stores conducted by Joseph Sansone fruit dealer. At the larger store kept by Sansone at 716 Washington st, the police confiscated 22 half pints of whisky, one pint of whisky, and six bottles of Jamaica ginger. About the same time in Sansone’s other store at 848 Washington st a quantity of wine was found, including one large barrel and two smaller ones. There were also two empty barrels which had contained wine. Sansone will be in court next week.
