Temple Shaare Tefilah Holds Promotion Exercises for Sunday School Students

A simple yet impressive ceremony marked the promotion exercises of the Sunday School grades of the Religious School of Temple Shaare Tefilah, Norwood, on Sunday, May 28. Families gathered to recognize the achievements of students completing another year of study in both the Sunday School and Hebrew School programs.

Mr. Samuel Spector, Director of the Religious School, presented certificates of promotion and commended the children for their fine work throughout the year. In addition to academic promotions, Certificates for Trees of Israel were awarded, reflecting the congregation’s continued support for cultural and charitable efforts abroad.

During his service in the United States Army, he organized, conducted, and arranged for the teaching of religious services in New Guinea, bringing valuable experience to his new role.

Assisting him will be Mrs. Jordan F. Kauffman, newly elected Second Vice President of the Norwood Jewish Women’s Council
