“MARTY” CALLAGHAN

“Marty” Callaghan of Norwood is one of a number of Greater Boston boys who are placing on the Chicago National League club, and he will be honored by friends and admirers of the old home town when the Braves and the Cubs meet at Braves Field tomorrow afternoon.

Already a block of seats in one section of the grandstand has been reserved, and tonight in Norwood there will be a meeting to complete the arrangements for a big day for “Marty.” William Dalton, who is chairman of the Norwood committee, has received assurance from Pres Veeck of the Chicago club that Manager Killifer will play Callaghan in the outfield tomorrow.
