Ens. Francis L.Carroll, 87 Prospect avènue, Norwood, has been assigned with other ensigns fresh from midshipmen training to Naval Air Transport Squadron 4 at Moffett Field, Calif., to undergo training as engineering officers.
These officers, attached only temporarily to the heavy maintenance squadron, will be sent to permanent duty with the Asiatic or Pacific Wing of the Naval Air Transport Service Command to assist In directing engineering operations with units of these wings.
