The merchants of Norwood, deciding to convince their customers of the absolute necessity of doing their Christmas shopping early this year, put their thinking caps on and came up with the idea that a pre-Christmas sale was the answer!
11 is imperative that ail mailing be done early … so all you well- meaning but rather lazy shoppers who usually put your purchasing off until the very last minute will just have to get a wiggle on. Don’t let your womenfolk, or your menfolk, or your kinfolk in the Army, Navy or the Marines go presentless on Christmas Day just because YOU didn’t get their gifts off on time. Get out from behind the eight ball and pop into the shops of Norwood on Friday, Saturday or Monday, *he 1 1th, 12th or 14th, and pick out your cards, those gifts for Uncle Joe and Aunt Susie, the things for the kids’ stockings and the catnip mouse for the cat.
By shopping early you’ll have a lot more time for yourself later on in the month and you’re helping Uncle Sam. You’ll also be able to sit back and laugh at those frenzied last minuters (being darn unpatriotic by loading the post offices with parcels which can’t possibly be delivered until too late) who are dashing around tearing their hair and wishing that they had been as smart as you were.
