Warm weather will not last much longer, perhaps a little over a month. The baseball season will then be over and the football enthusiasts will get together and organize. But by Thanksgiving the football season will close. Then what will the young athletic blood of the town do to keep in good training?

es, they can play hockey or ice polo— when there is ice for skating, but it is quite probable that we will have some snow storms this winter and unless the townspeople take a big step ahead and clear the snow off the ice, it is feared that the skates and hockey will hang indoors on many a fine winter day and night too.

There is, however, a sport which a few winters ago was the rage in Norwood. We have reference to bowling. Last winter a great deal of interest was shown in this sport by those who liked it, and the crash of the balls at the alleys might be heard any night in the week, except Sunday. There was, however, no club or organization in town to excite any great amount of interest.

Now bowling is one of the greatest sports to keep the body in good trim. It exercises every muscle in the jody and in the spring leaves the arm in fine shape for baseball. Therefore in order to encourage the sport and have some good hot bowling matches this winter, wouldn’t it js a good idea to form a bowling league? Several years ago, a league was formed in Norwood and it accomplished a great deal. Many people would like to see a revival.
