
GROUND BREAKERS
The new Windsor Gardens apartment project began officially this week with groundbreaking ceremonies at the 43-acre site off Walpole Street in Norwood near the Walpole line. The first model apartment of the 676-unit development is expected to be ready for visitors by Labor Day.
Taking part in the ceremonies were, left to right, Martin J. Lydon, of the Board of Selectmen, John J. MacAuliffe, Assistant Town Manager, Walter J. Dempsey, Chairman of the Board of Selectmen, N. W. Wallace, Executive Vice President, General Investment and Development Co., John P. Mogan, Chairman of the Finance Commission and George T. Mahoney of the Finance Commission.
