Saturday evening, Norwood Arena will feature the Hampden-Harvard trophy races. Winners of the Sportsman 30 lap, Bomber 25 lap, and Novice 20 lap features will be awarded the coveted trophy.
MIKE FAVULI, Chief Handicapper at Norwood Arena, during his guest appearance on the “Louis Morgan Show” over WNAC*TV Channel 7 In Boston on Thursday, August 1. He told the Channel 7 viewers about the Norwood Arena, and said It Is the best track of Its kind In the country. He also discussed some of his duties as a member of the Governor’s Council, and of the Worcester City Council.
Attending race fans will receive 6,000 discount tickets to the Wilson Line Boston Belle and 500 of the distributed tickets will be “lucky” free tickets.
Miss “Boston Belle” winner of the Cyd Charisse “Beautiful Legs” contest, and four runner-ups will officiate.
Miss “Boston Belle” will award the winner of the Novice feature the Boston Belle trophy.
