School Committee Appoints Michael Gallahue and George Usevich to Key School Posts-August 26, 1971

The Norwood School Committee announced the appointment of two local educators to key administrative positions at Norwood High School for the upcoming 1971–72 academic year.

Michael Gallahue of 100 Summer Street in East Walpole has been named to a vice principalship. A graduate of Bridgewater State College with a master’s degree in administration, Gallahue previously served as vice president of the Norwood Teachers Association and chaired its negotiating committee for the past year. A former history department teacher, he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Gallahue of 237 Pine Street in Weymouth.

George Usevich of 449 Pleasant Street in Norwood has been appointed administrative assistant for student affairs. A graduate of Bentley College who earned his master’s degree from Suffolk University and is pursuing a doctorate in educational administration at Boston College, Usevich previously taught on the business department faculty. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Usevich of 449 Pleasant Street in Norwood.
