
St. Catherine’s Cub Scouts, Pack 49, held their annual Christmas Party Sunday night in the auditorium. The evening began with the flag ceremony conducted by the boys of Den 14, Mrs. Squillaci-oti, Den Mother, after which the awards were given out.
Next a lovely tableau, depicting the Nativity Scene, was also presented by the Cubs of Den 14. While the tableau remained on stage, a candle on a beautiful birthday cake was lighted. This was to remind everyone present that Christmas is really Christ’s birthday.
The Cubs and their guests sang songs while awaiting the arrival of Santa. Finally the big moment arrived, Santa, resplendent in his red suit and jingling his bells, came into the hall. After each child had spoken to Santa and received a gift from him, refreshments were served.
