Richard Oldham, an old resident and one who had long held the respect of friends and neighbors, died on last Tuesday evening of a clot of blood on the brain.

He had been in failing health for a year past. He had been an honest industrious man and had reared a large family which proved a credit to him.

He was a man of much independence and considerable force of character.

In former years he had been a familiar figure in town meetings and he always showed a great and Intelligent interest in town affairs.

He had formerly been employed in the old Draper iron foundry, but for some years had practically retired from active life. He leaves a widow, four sons and two daughters to mourn his loss.
