Abp.. Cushing Confirms 283; Blesses New School And Hall
His Excellency the Most Rev. Richard J. Cushing. Archbishop of Boston. administered the Sacrament of Confirmation to a class of 283 yesterday afternoon in St. Catherine’s Church.
Prior to the Confirmation ceremony, Archbishop Cushing bestowed his blessing on the new school and hall.
The Archbishop was welcomed on his arrival here by the Rt Rev. Msgr. Jeremiah F. Minihan, pastor of St. Catherine’s.
Msgr. Robert K. Lee or St. John’s Church. Cantor., accompanied Archbishop Cushing and the Norwood priests from the Rectory to the school All the children of St Catherine’s school were lined up on both sides of the school hall to witness the blessing ceremony.
