Polaroid begins production at Norwood complex
About 200 employees have begun production work in two buildings of Polaroid Corporation’s complex which is under construction on the former Forbes Estate here.
Polaroid Corporation, a company known for its instant camera technology, has started producing goods at their newly constructed facility in Norwood, Massachusetts. The complex, built on the site of the Forbes Estate, is currently undergoing completion, with two buildings already operational. According to a Polaroid official, approximately 200 employees are working in these buildings, split between two areas: one for camera and accessory assembly, and another where production machinery and equipment are being installed.
The assembly building, which has reached about 25% completion, houses around 50 employees who are busy assembling cameras and accessories. In contrast, the second building, where production machinery is being set up, employs approximately 150 workers. The construction of this massive complex marks a significant milestone for Polaroid Corporation as it expands its operations in Norwood.
