On July 10, 1972, the Norwood Rotary Club announced the results of its recent elections for the club’s leadership for the coming year.
The newly elected officers, tasked with guiding the service organization, were named as follows: Roy Ciapciak as president, Norman Rickard as first vice president, Dr. Larry Brown as second vice president, Gerry Bostwick as secretary, and Herb Anderson as treasurer.
The Rotary Club of Norwood is a long-standing local chapter of Rotary International, a global network of business, professional, and community leaders dedicated to humanitarian service.
True to the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self,” the Norwood club has been a fixture of civic life in town for a century.
The Norwood Rotary Club is one of the older active service organizations in the area. It was officially chartered on April 19, 1926, meaning the club celebrated its momentous centennial anniversary in 2026. Over the decades, it has brought together local business owners, town officials, and residents to pool their resources for community improvements.
