Marine Private First Class Steven J. Weiand, son of Mr. and Mrs, Joseph F. Weiand of 27 Redwood Drive, Norwood, returned to Camp Lejeune, N C., on Dec. 3, with Headquarters and Service Company. First Battalion, Sixth Marine Regiment.
The battalion was engaged in extended operations away from Camp Lejeune recently. It returned as part of a major movement of Second Marine Division forces back to the large east coast amphibious training base.
