Officials at Norwood Hospital firmly stated yesterday that they possess zero record of ever treating former New England Patriots player Greg Taylor, who filed a staggering $30 million multi-defendant lawsuit against both the hospital and the football franchise on Monday.

“We’ve gone through in-patient, out-patient, X-ray records—everything—he has no records at this hospital at all,” declared hospital spokeswoman Marjorie A. Clapprood.

Allegations and Hospital Rebuttal

Taylor’s lawsuit alleges that medical personnel at Norwood Hospital failed to diagnose and inform him of a fractured bone in his right leg following X-rays administered on September 13. According to Taylor’s legal claims, the injury occurred during the Patriots’ season opener on September 12. Taylor maintains he was told by a team assistant trainer that he was being transported to Norwood Hospital, where he assumed his X-rays were taken.

Hospital Administrator David P. Buchmueller issued a sharp, prepared statement condemning the legal action as reckless:

“The venomous and accusatory press release… on behalf of Mr. Taylor was unethical and irresponsible in naming the Norwood Hospital as a co-defendant in a matter in which Norwood Hospital was not involved. We are conferring with legal counsel to determine what course of action the Norwood Hospital should take to achieve redress for the damages that have been inflicted.”

Hospital officials asserted that Taylor’s attorneys failed to “adequately research” the factual basis of the case prior to filing suit. While Clapprood acknowledged that Patriots players have occasionally received treatment at Norwood Hospital over the years, she confirmed that no such encounter occurred in Taylor’s case.

Plaintiff’s Counsel Responds

Representing Taylor, Martin Baron of a New York-based law firm maintained that his client genuinely believes he was treated at the facility, regardless of what official hospital archives reflect.

Baron explained that Taylor was placed in a car and driven to a medical facility by team staff. “He didn’t even look at the name of the facility,” Baron said. “He had no reason to doubt he was being taken to Norwood Hospital. We have a right to believe whatever our client tells us. He was told he was going to Norwood, and that’s what he believed.”

When pressed on whether he believed poor recordkeeping on the hospital’s part could explain the discrepancy, Baron admitted, “I don’t know. I have no idea where the problem is.”
