Selectmen Approve Food and Liquor License for Club Car Restaurant at Former Chevrolet Site

The board of selectmen last night officially granted a food and liquor license for a brand-new restaurant to be located on Washington Street.

The upcoming dining establishment will open at the physical location of the former Mac-Moran Chevrolet Inc. dealership property.

Thomas E. McManus of Hingham, who will direct the executive management of Club Car Restaurants, explained that the new restaurant will be closely patterned after a highly successful branch of its current chain operating in Hingham, which also serves under the Club Car restaurant banner. Selectmen pointed out that while the formal operating license has been fully approved, no specific date has been set for the grand opening of the restaurant to the public.
