Twenty-nine Girl Scouts and their leaders from Troop 634 of Norwood recently returned from an extensive educational trip to Florida and Georgia
. A significant highlight of the excursion was a visit to the birthplace of Juliette Gordon Low, the founder of the Girl Scouts, located in Savannah, Georgia. As part of the visit, every girl and leader received a special Daisy Pin, an honor reserved exclusively for scouts who have successfully completed an official tour of the historic home. The trip provided the Norwood troop with a wide range of experiences beyond their time in Savannah, including visits to the Kennedy Space Center, Walt Disney World, the Plant City Scout House, and the beautiful Cypress Gardens in Florida. The journey served as both a cultural and scouting milestone for the troop, offering the members of Troop 634 a deeper connection to the history of their organization and providing memories of their extensive travels across the southeastern United States.
