The Norwood Historic Preservation Alliance, a newly formed, non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of historically significant buildings, will hold its first public meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Historical Room of Morrill Memorial Library.
The alliance’s first major goal involves the restoration and renovation of the carriage house located on the Day House property. The carriage house, built back in the 1860s, is in need of immediate attention, according to the alliance. Tentative fundraising plans to back the project include auctions, lectures, and square dances.
