Mary B Fogg Obituary-This Day In Norwood History-December 2, 1898

Mrs. Mary B. Fogg, widow of the late David S. Fogg. M. D ., died quite suddenly at her home on Washington Street, last Tuesday morning, at the age of 74 years, 10 months and 21 days. By her death, Norwood loses an estimable and honored member of society, who has been a resident here for half a century and over. She has been in failing health since the decease of her husband.

She was a woman of eminently social qualities, of excellent education, and exceptional musical talent, who has reared a large family with infinite care and a just regard to their development in useful and social qualities. Of a kindly and affectionate disposition and charitable to everyone with whom she came in contact, she always made friends, who will surely miss her genial face and her pleasing conversation.

Mrs. Fogg was born in New London, Conn., and was the daughter of Rev. Thomas W. Tucker, a Methodist, clergyman, who resided here in his latter years, and was known and liked by everybody. Mrs. Fogg has lived a retired life for some years and had a shock of paralysis about two years ago- Five children, four sons and a daughter, survive her.

The funeral occurs this afternoon at her late residence, conducted by Rev. J. W. Stephan.
