An emergency call to the Norwood police station on Tuesday night that a woman was lying in some bushes in the rear of the Sanborn block sent police, hurrying to the scene expecting the worst.

Sergeant Joseph McNulty, on arrival, found a fully clothed mannequin, partially hidden by the bushes and two canvas beach bags lying nearby.

The bags were found to contain 95 billfolds. Two nine-year-old boys playing in the parking area spotted the mannequin, and mistaking it for the body of a woman had rushed into Jack Harry’s store to call for help.

Investigation by the police disclosed that the mannequin and the billfolds were the property of Parke Snow’s and had been stolen from the store In a break made through a rear entrance last Wednesday night.
