Makes Down Payment On New Car With Buckets Of Pennies

Henry Schultz of Main Street, Norfolk, owner of the Trianon Cafe in South Norwood, is a man who believes in saving his pennies.
This thrifty habit resulted in literally bucket full of the coppers being collected, and these he had carted into Central Motors on Route 1 last week as a down payment on a new 300K Silver Special.
Mr Schultz started saving Indian Head pennies back before World War II, and then continued the practice by saving all his pennies from pocket change.
Henry put his pennies back in circulation to get the first 1964 300K Silver Sepcial model, to come into New England in connection with a special dealer promotion due nation-wide late this month or early next. It is a two-door hardtop model with special paint, vinyl roof with canopy styling, up to 390 horsepower, bucket seats, and tachometer, among other features.
Mr Schultz said he had no idea how many pennies were in his collection when he turned it in Too many to count by hand, the pennies were lugged off to the Norfolk County Trust Company for machine processing.
Mr. Schultz has been an assessor in the town of Norfolk for 12 years, serving from 1952 to the present time. He is currently seeking his fifth term.
